IDEA BEHIND THE GAME:
The real art block for artists is often the criticism that they receive in the form of words, that are expressed online or in person. This criticism often blocks the artists form finishing or even starting their paintings. This can be seen across all form of arts and can be applied to all creators. It happened in the past and it is happening now as well. This is what artists like Vincent van Gogh faced—a constant barrage of judgment that tried to silence his vision. Van Gogh sold only one painting in his lifetime. He heard "no" ten thousand times before his "yes" ever mattered. Now his paintings are priceless.
Help us to raise awareness and to beat the game, in order to complete the painting in the game!
MAIN GAMEPLAY:
Use UP/DOWN ARROW KEYS to move the blocker.
Your main task in the game is to block the criticism that is coming in the form of words and to protect the painting, that will slowly reveal itself in color. You win the game, when you block all of the incoming words and when you let all of the colored cubes to reach the panting on the right.
You need to block all of the words that are coming your way with the blocker and you need to avoid all of the colored blocks, so that they can fully paint the portrait at the end. This is how you win the game.
USEFUL TIPS:
Things to keep in mind:
Be careful when you collect the words with the blocker since the words stack over each other. Think strategically where on the blocker you would like to stick the upcoming words to. The blocker extends over time which allows you to catch more words but it also makes it harder to avoid the colored cubes.
On the top left angle of the screen you can see your score as well as your hearts(lives).
You loose a heart every time you miss a word or when you catch a colored cube. Once all of the hearts disappear, you loose the game. This can be avoided during the game by gaining additional 500 points to your current score. For every 500 points, you get one heart. Keep in mind that you can have a total of 5 hearts max during the game. The option to win hearts is only possible in a moment in the game, where you have lost hearts and you have less then 5 hearts.
Another option to avoid damage in the game is to pick golden stars along the way. If you have too many words stacked on your blocker, the star will clear whichever word it clashes itself with.
MAIN RULES OF THE GAME:
1. Catch all of the words, that are coming from the left side of the screen and avoid all of the colored blocks.
2. The words you collect stack over one another. Use the star to clear all of the words that you collect on your blocker bar to avoid loosing the game.
3. Missing more than 3 words or collecting more than 3 colored cubes causes the player to loose the game and the level restarts.
4. Collect red hearts to fix the mistakes you made along the way- for example collecting colored cubes or missing words. The heart allows you to continue the game despite making more mistakes.
5. The player wins the game once the painting is completed.
